Over the past twenty years I've written a lot of songs. Now I'd like to record a batch of them and share them with the world! Some of these songs I wrote as a teenager, and some I'm still finishing up. I'm getting together some incredible musicians, hiring an awesome studio, and hoping to deliver something you can enjoy for years to come! So I'm embarking on this project and I hope you can help me out!

These days most people get their music from streaming services like Spotify, YouTube, etc. So CD sales, especially for indie artists like me, are really non-existent. So the only real way to get your music out is to put it on these streaming services. Spotify pays out between 1/3 and 1/2 a penny every time someone listens to your song. I have budgeted that a quality album from start to finish would cost about $7,000 to produce. That's a lot of money I know, but between studio rental, mixing, mastering, pressing, publishing, and paying musicians, that's a pretty conservative estimate. If I were to bear that all by myself at the outset, it would mean I would have to hope for about 1.75 million plays on Spotify to just break even! So that's daunting, and it means I'd just have to do what I've always done - make it at home! Which can achieve some good results. For example, here's my 2016 EP Four For Love which I recorded with no budget in various closets, basements, attics, and bathrooms (not kidding - bathrooms have surprisingly good acoustics). This time I want to improve the quality. I'll be working with Ben Collette and Rob O'Dea who engineer for my favorite band Phish at their Burlington studio, which is right down the street from where I live.
So I'm reaching out to you for help! If you've got a few extra stimulus dollars lying around, or an unexpectedly big tax return, and would like to stimulate the arts economy, then send some my way! I'll put it to good use. Not a penny of it is going to me. It's all going to pay for the production costs. And if you can't donate now, that's okay, you'll still get to listen to the music on your favorite streaming service. But perhaps you could send this to a friend who might be interested in supporting this project.
