From Ashes To Miles: Help Us Get Paul Back on the Road After a Total Loss Fire to his Trailer with Luxury Crown Rally Vehicles inside:

We are writing this as Paul’s family and friends.
Paul Mikulec, has spent nearly 30 years on the road hauling people’s dream cars. He is the kind of man who shows up, keeps his word, and takes care of his family. That is how he has always lived.

On the Morning of Setpt 18th, at a Quick trip Gas Station in Chatanooga, The whole world seemed to have stopped , atleast for us it did..
Paul’s wife, Ewa, Exited the Quick trip gas station after cleaning herself up and grabbing breakfast and coffee, to walking into the biggest nightmare of her life, Reliving something that couldnt have possibly happened. She called her Son , Screaming and crying saying, “It’s all on fire. Everything’s burning to the ground, Its all gone, everything we worked for its gone.” We opened FaceTime and watched the trailer, the heart of Paul’s livelihood, burning with the cars inside.

The strongest man we know stood in shock frantically getting told to back away as he was trying to help the fire fighters but all he could do was stare into the smoke. It did not feel real. It still does not.

The most important thing is that no one got hurt and Paul and Ewa are safe after this tragic event, and we are grateful for that beyond measure.

If you do not know him, Paul Mikulec came to this country more than 35 years ago with a simple plan that never goes out of style. Work hard. Tell the truth. Take care of your family. He spent over 30 years in a truck, some days coming back for a few hours just to get sandwiches and food and stopping by the house for a few hours before having to leave right away.

Paul Loves his job, loves Exotic vehicles and loves treating other people’s dream cars like they were his own. He is the man who would give you the shirt off his back and refuse anything in return.

Our dad would never ask for this himself. That is why I am writing this. He has spent his life taking care of other people’s cars and taking care of us. We want to help him return to the work he loves and to the life he has earned.
This year was supposed to be different in the best way. After a lifetime of payments, breakdowns, and repairs, Paul finally paid off his truck and trailer. No bank notes. No collectors. Just a man and his rig and the pride of knowing he earned every inch of it. He had momentum again, steady clients, snowbird season ahead, and a plan to keep growing the small business he built the honest way.

Then the fire.

There is an active investigation and a fire report. We will not argue with rumors or clickbait. What we can say is simple and devastating. This was outside of his control and the trailer is a total loss. To the owners of the vehicles on board, our rally friends with McLarens, a Porsche GT3 RS, Corvettes, and an Audi, we are so deeply sorry. Real people, & friends trusted Paul with their cars. That trust means everything to him and it is breaking his heart that this happened under his watch. Just so you all know, we are all very sorry for your losses and hope that you forgive Paul for this Tragic Accident.

Some of us have lived a version of this nightmare once before. In 2008 a PTO related fire in California forced Paul into bankruptcy. He unhooked the tractor and watched Ferraris and other cars burn while strangers drove by and took photos ...He rebuilt from nothing. No shortcuts. No handouts. Just work. and 2025 brings back something, but this time we wont let it put a stop to his business continueing because he knows the only choice he has is to do the only thing he knows how to do and is work.

This time hurts differently. He had just gotten free. In minutes it was all taken. Ironically thats how this world works, and we cannot let that affect how we move forward and overcome this tragedy!

He had just finished paying off his truck and trailer this year. After decades of sacrifice he finally had a little breathing room. Now the trailer is gone. Insurance will focus on the cars first, which means what is left for a new trailer will not be enough. Without a trailer he cannot work and cannot take care of his clients that he has built up for over 20 years. Without work everything he has built is at risk, and will be gone.

We are asking for help to get our dad back on the road with a safe, reliable enclosed car hauler and the essential equipment to do the job the right way. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward replacing the trailer, the tools, and the immediate costs tied to the fire. If you are not able to donate, we understand. Sharing this page and keeping our dad in your prayers helps more than you know.
Paul will not ask. So we, his family and friends, are asking for him.

If you can give, we promise you this. Every dollar goes only toward the trailer and the immediate documented costs to make it safe and legal to operate. We will hold the funds separately and post what we can, including quotes and invoices with private information removed, along with honest updates. If insurance pays anything at all, we will say exactly how much and reduce what we use from your donations by that same amount. If we fall short of a full purchase right away, we will use the funds for a safe interim lease or rental that meets the specs until we can finish the job. No detours. No games.

Any support helps, truly. A donation of any size, a share with your community, or a lead on a reputable dealer, financing option, or a compliant short term rental makes a real difference. Please leave a comment with ideas. We will read every single one.

We have watched Paul give everything to keep other people moving. He has hauled in blizzards, slept in parking lots, missed holidays, and kept promises when it would have been easier to say it is not my problem. He finally reached the point where the rig was his, and in a few terrible minutes it was gone.

With your help, we will get through this. We will put Paul back in the driver’s seat, doing the honest work he loves, providing for his family the way he always has.

Thank you to our family and friends who are already helping with calls, advice, and donations. Your kindness is holding us together and we will make this happen for Paul, one way or another.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with the most loyal and selfless man we know , who has stood for everyone else for no matter what his whole life.

With gratitude,
Family and Friends of Paul Mikulec & Luxury Auto Transport

P.S. We will keep posting real updates as we receive quotes, get insurance answers, and lock a path forward. Every message, every share, and every dollar is appreciated more than we can say.
