Help Paul Keep Fighting

Our brother Paul has spent years fighting for his life. What started as cardiomyopathy eventually became heart failure. This led him to get a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) while he awaited his heart transplant. He did everything right to qualify for a heart transplant; he lost the weight, stayed compliant, and showed up to every appointment. He was approved. Then, kidney failure took that opportunity away. Paul went through chemotherapy. Years of recovery. More setbacks. More procedures. But he fought back and got himself back on track. Recently, everything hit at once: thyroid complications, weight gain, severe arrhythmias, fluid retention, and multiple hospital procedures. His body has been through trauma that most people will never understand. But Paul is still here. Still fighting and still pushing forward. He’s finally getting stable enough to come home, but he will need intensive rehabilitation and in-home medical care for the next few months. This will be an expensive cost for our family, and we don’t yet know how much insurance will cover, but we want to get started while we wait for the insurance decision. This is not easy for our family to ask. But Paul has always been the one who shows up for everyone else. Now it’s our turn to show up for him. All funds will go directly toward his rehab and home care. If you can give, even a small amount helps. If you can’t, please share. Paul deserves his second chance, and we’re going to fight for it. Thank you.
