Help Paul Hamrick Recover
Donation protected
Paul Hamrick, the husband to my aunt Esther, father to my cousins Nancy Mejia and Ryan Berg and my uncle. Paul retired from the military just a few short weeks ago and before he could sign up for benefits the unthinkable happened. He has been a nurse for years caring for the sick, deployed to covid areas he finally was going to start a civilian life.... Not feeling well he drove himself to the hospital where they took him in for emergency heart surgery. 24 hours later another heart attack and more more extensive surgery. Things at that point were touch and go. Then 48 hours later he had a massive stroke impacting 3 parts of his brain. He has been in the hospital going on 3 weeks and was just transferred to a facility away from family. Still not able to breath on his own, not able to speak or communicate yet, the future is still uncertain.
He being younger than my aunt they never thought they would be in this situation and my aunt has no access to his accounts, benefits and we need to get a conservatorship in place. I am hoping that we can raise some money in support of Paul's recovery to help my Aunt to be able to travel, take care of the legal needs, and give her some breathing room while we try and get affairs in order.
If your able to help I would personally appreciate it. My aunt was there for me every day as I went through my dad's passing and this is my opportunity to return the love. Even if it is small it is greatly appreciated. If your not able then please the power of prayer is huge.
Collectively the family and friends can make a huge difference. Feel free to share this on your page or social forums.
With great appreciation,
Michelle and the entire Hamrick, Berg, Mejia and Gonzalez Families.
