Help Paul Duckhorn beat cancer!

In August of 2019 my dad started to experience severe pain in his neck. Six weeks later after many tests, an MRI revealed a cancerous tumor on his neck. The neurologist would not operate because it was located too close to a main artery leading to the brain. He was put in a neck brace and told he needed to be careful since the location of the tumor could be fatal. After consultation with an oncologist, he started radiation treatment for the tumor on his neck. Many more tests, doctor visits, a bone marrow biopsy, and a hospital stay led to a diagnosis. My dad has a type of blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. There is no cure for Multiple Myeloma but it can go into remission with treatment. He has started treatment which includes chemo therapy, injections, and oral medications. He has a difficult road ahead but he is ready to fight! He wants to see his grandsons, Tripp and River grow up!

My dad has always been a strong independent man and his life has gone from working and running his own business to treatments and doctor visits. He was able to work in a limited capacity but treatment has made him sick, fatigued, and weak which has left him unable to work. After starting treatment we discovered even with health insurance, the treatments are extremely costly. With the loss of his income, the financial aspect is an added burden to this difficult situation. I created this page hoping for donations during this season of giving.
