Hi everyone,

My name is Paul, and I’m on a mission to return to the world of competitive sport — this time in the Adaptive Division of HYROX.

In July, 2025, I competed in my first ever HYROX event. This event was at Olympic Park, Sydney. I finished first in the Adaptive Division.

In 2026, I will compete in multiple HYROX events, including:

• Brisbane – April (Asia/Pacific Championships)
• Sydney – July
• Perth – September
• Melbourne – December

And my biggest dream: to be selected for the HYROX World Championships in Sweden in June 2026.

My Story

I was born with Spina Bifida, given little to no chance of surviving the first 24 hours of life, but I’ve never let that define or stop me. From a young age, I’ve learned to adapt, work hard and push forward no matter what challenges come my way. I was also raised by two incredible deaf parents, who taught me the true meaning of strength, resilience and determination. Their example has shaped the person I am today — someone who shows up, works hard, and never gives up.

Competing in Adaptive HYROX is another way for me to keep proving that anything is possible with the right mindset and support.

I was once an elite wheelchair athlete, competing in Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Track and Road Racing at a high level, having had the opportunity to travel all over Australia and the around the world, representing NSW and Australia in both, until injuries (Tennis Elbow and Bursitis in both shoulders) forced me to step away more than 10 years ago. Having to give up my sporting career left a huge hole in my life.

Now, after years of recovery and rebuilding, I’ve found a new passion in Adaptive HYROX. For the past year, I’ve been training with my Exercise Physiologist, Stacey, from Kinetic Health Solutions. Together, we’ve worked hard on injury rehabilitation, rebuilding strength, and preparing my body to compete again at the highest level.

Why I Need Your Help

Competing at this level takes more than just training and determination — it takes funding. I’m aiming to raise $20,000, which will go directly towards:
• Flights & accommodation for interstate and international events ✈️
• Event entry fees ️
• Training and development to perform at my best ️

Every donation, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to being on the start line and representing adaptive athletes in a global arena.

Join Me on the Journey

I will be providing regular updates on my training, progress, and once official event dates are confirmed, I’ll share them here so you can follow my journey every step of the way.

I want to prove that setbacks don’t have to be the end of the story — they can be the beginning of a new one. With your support, and with Stacey in my corner, I can show what’s possible through resilience, dedication, and passion for sport.

Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this journey.
