With a heavy but hopeful heart I am making this GoFundMe for a man who is loved by so many. I was Paul’s girlfriend and long-time best friend for 9 years. Paul is currently homeless and struggling with addiction in California, far from his support system in New Jersey. He’s facing a critical situation—on top of battling addiction and schizophrenia, Paul has developed endocarditis, a serious heart infection that requires urgent medical attention. His mental health has also been deeply affected, and he’s in desperate need of support to get back on his feet.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward my flight and travel costs to California so I can reach him safely, as well as safe transportation to bring Paul back to the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. The funds will also help cover urgent medical treatment for his endocarditis, including antibiotics, hospitalization, and any necessary heart care. Once he’s home, Paul will need detox, sober living, and professional mental health support to address both his addiction and psychosis. His birth mother had schizophrenia, which has made his journey even more challenging. In addition, your support will help provide basic needs like food, clothing, and housing setup to help him stabilize and start rebuilding his life.
