On May 27, Memorial Day, Paul was having difficulty breathing and was also having severe pain in his side and in his chest.

I took him to the ER and they admitted him within the first 5 minutes of seeing him. His oxygen level was at 80% at that time.

The doctors found that he has several blood clots in his lungs and further testing, they found a 4 cm mass on his left side of his abdomen and "innumerable" spots on his liver with the largest being 4cm as well.

After a week in the hospital, where they did a biopsy on the spots in his liver and they sent us home on oxygen and we have follow up appointments.

Currently our oncologist says that the biopsy came back inconclusive. They aren't sure where the cancer is coming from. So, the doctor has ordered more blood (7 tubes) and a PET scan and an MRI on his brain, so she can have a full picture of where all the cancer is located.

On top of this, our insurance is in a battle with Scott and White Hospital right now and we could lose access to these doctors on July 1 if they do not agree on terms before then!
