Help Patty cope with brain tumor diagnosis.

Us friends are looking to help our best friend in need Patty.

In February, while working at a local domestic violence shelter, Patty suffered a massive seizure. After extensive testing, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor two days before her 40th birthday. It is a suspected meningioma, but we won’t know more until they can get some of it out and sent to a lab. This tumor is blocking the superior sagittal sinus making this a very risky surgery. Also making it very difficult to live right now.

While navigating the treatment process she has suffered seizures, confusion, speech issues, personality changes, exhaustion, and headaches. Making life difficult to manage.

Patty works 2 jobs, both being in the mental health field. She spends the majority of her time helping those in need, both children and adults. Patty has raised two beautiful children into young adults herself.

Though she is insisting on trying to continue working up to the day before surgery; the healing and recovery process is going to take time. She is expected to be out of work for two months, and has already had and will continue to need time off for multiple doctor visits as her care team is based out of Madison.

These types of tumors can keep coming back, right now the future is very uncertain but surgery is scheduled for late July. Between medical travel expenses, time off work, life expenses, needs for her home to recover, we would like to raise some money for those bills and expenses to relieve some stress.

Patty is such a strong woman continuing to work and help others, let’s show her what it’s like to receive back all that same love.
