After battling breast cancer and trying to get back on my feet, my parents asked us to leave their home. I did everything I could to find a safe place for us, but it was incredibly difficult—most apartments required income and credit I just didn’t have after months of medical leave. I used all of my disability checks to put down a deposit on an apartment, but that meant I couldn’t pay other bills.

Yesterday, things got even harder. As I was preparing to go to a court hearing my parents filed against me, I discovered my car had been repossessed. Without my car, I can’t get to work or take my daughter to school, and I missed the hearing because I had no way to get there. I’ve tried to work with the dealership, even giving them the last of my money, but the fees keep piling up and I just can’t keep up. On top of that, we’re running low on groceries, and I still need to hire movers to get our remaining things from my parents’ house before we lose them for good.
