Help Patty beat stage 3 lymphoma cancer
Donation protected

It all started after Christmas, December 26th, when my mom woke up in excruciating pain and throwing up a green liquid. She went to the ER where she got a CT scan and told her she had several things 1. Right kidney is not functioning right 2. Gallstones and 3. Some type of mass in her intestines. In the ER they didn’t pay much attention since they thought it was another case of gallstones and that she should see her primary care doctor soon. She came back home and was still in a lot of pain despite the me dice she had received. 2 days later she rushed to the ER because she still couldn’t handle the pain and kept throwing up that green liquid. She then later got the news that she will be receiving surgery. At first they had told her she will be getting her gallbladder removed and was ready for surgery when the changed their mind and said the most urgent thing to do was remove those 2 balls of unknown mass she had in her intestines. She went in for surgery on 12/30. I wasn’t able to see my mom until New Years, it was the worst 2 days of my life since I suffer from panic attacks. New Years for our family was not celebrated this year.
After being in the hospital for almost a week, a ball of mass showed on my mom’s neck. The doctors thought it was infection due to her having a tube down her nose to get all the green acid out of her stomach. They decided to do surgery on her again. When they opened her they realized it wasn’t infected so they only did a small biopsy and closed her back up. After being discharged we went back a week later to check her surgery, when they told us the lab results were back and both the balls in her intestines and on her neck were lymphoma.
The doctors explained to us the lymphoma is a type of cancer of the lymphatic system, a part of the body germ’s fighting system.
After talking to the oncologist about my mom’s treatment, he had mentioned her cancer was stage 3 but the she would only have to come in every 3 weeks for 6-8 hours a day. But soon after he got some new lab results he came back to tell us that her cancer was more AGGRESSIVE than we thought…… she needs to come in every 3 weeks for 4-5 days for a 24/7 chemotherapy treatment. At that moment my heart dropped and my mom couldn’t hold in her tears anymore.
my mom is only 50 years old she is a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 1. She just recently celebrated her 25th anniversary with my dad last May. We just simply do not understand how our life changed so drastically from one day to another.

My mom is part of a religious community where she is well known and loved from all the members. She also had been working at Sunbright Daycare where all the other teachers let her know all her kids miss her.

My mom still has so much to live and we will appreciate not only your prayers but your donations since these treatments will be extremely expensive and even with insurance it wouldn’t cover it all. I just really hope the financial burden is not one thing that she will have to worry about doing her 6 treatments.
Thank you all very much from the bottom of our hearts for any donation, big or small…. Every single penny helps.
We will make sure to update you all as my mom’s journey progresses! On behalf of Patty, much love and blessings!
