Help Patti Hutchinson Fight Leukemia

Patti’s journey began just before the start of Covid when she had her left kidney removed by a surgeon who has since had his medical license revoked. She had 9 surgeries on her right kidney with the latest being in September. When she repeatedly was ill her primary care doctor ran blood work. There were issues with her blood cell counts she was referred to a hematologist/oncologist at Ironwood Cancer Research Center. The oncologist reviewed her past medical history. His opinion is that had the left kidney been tested it would have been cancerous. In June she had emergency hysterectomy. She has been diagnosed with Myeloproliferative a rare and aggressive form of Leukemia. She is stage 2 and treatment will include injections to increase her white blood cells before they can proceed with chemotherapy. Patti also has an auto immune disease making increasing her white blood cells a battle. She has not been able to work since her last surgery in September. She has lost her medical insurance and has no income to pay for her treatments and living expenses.
Patti was born and raised in Farwell MI. She met her husband Tim a Flint MI native in Lake George MI. They were together for 3 years and married 20 years ago. Patti is the mother of 4 children, Tamar, Michael, Matthew and Jordon. She also is the loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren.
Anyone who knows Patti knows that she is a warrior and a loving and caring person. Patti is an independent person and that makes it difficult for her to ask for help. She has always been the first person to help someone in need. This is why we have come together to raise funds for her so she can concentrate on her battle with cancer and not worrying about finances.
