Hello everyone.

My name is Amy, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my parents, Patti and David, who are currently going through a very difficult financial and health-related time.

My dad, David, is 73 years old and has spent his entire life working incredibly hard. He has given everything he possibly could to support not only our family, but also to be a meaningful and active member of his community in Marietta, GA and now Myrtle Beach. He has worked as a full-time professor for the past several years and continues to do so despite his declining health. If anyone knows my dad, they know he is the first person to step up and help others, even when his own means are limited.

My mom, Patti, is 70 years old and has been unable to work for the past few years due to a permanent injury. This has made it impossible for her to contribute financially in the way she once did, even though she has always been incredibly dedicated and hardworking.

Together, they are doing their best to live on Social Security, but it is not enough to cover their basic living expenses and rising medical and household bills. They are now facing the very real stress of not being able to keep up financially while also managing their health challenges.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help ease that burden; whether it’s for rent/mortgage, utilities, medical costs, or just day-to-day essentials—so they can focus on their health and live with dignity and stability.
