> On June 22, Patti Brennan Day a dedicated truck driver, was on her way home to New Jersey when she was struck by a medical emergency in Alabama. Diagnosed with both severe gallbladder disease and colon cancer, she underwent an immediate, life-saving surgery that removed two-thirds of her colon.
> Patti, who lives alone after losing her mother to cancer last year, faced this ordeal far from home. Thanks to her family, her employer, and the kindness of strangers, she made it back to New Jersey on July 8.
> Now, her long road to recovery is just beginning. She starts chemotherapy in September and is unable to work. While she has applied for short-term disability, the funds won't arrive for several weeks, and her savings are nearly gone. She needs urgent help to cover essential bills, groceries, and medications as she fights to get her life back. Patti plans to return to her job as a truck driver after she recovers.
