Help Patti Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected

I met Patti three years ago at work. She is my friend. She has a heart of gold, a smile that lights up a room and would give the shirt off her back if you needed it. She has overcome much adversity in her life and always fought back.

Today, Patti faces the battle of her life.

A few weeks ago, she learned she has breast cancer. Today, she is undergoing a double mastectomy.

I volunteered to put this page together for Patti. She needs our help and would never ask for it. The medical bills are mounting and will continue to grow as she misses work.

This is Patti's story from her Mom:

When Patti was four years old she cut her pointer finger off. When she came home from the hospital she never cried again until the doctor took the stitches out. She has always been a tough little girl.

Patti worked two and three jobs to take care of herself. She graduated from high school and moved to Massachusetts.  She went to college and got her associate's degree and went to college to become a clown. She was such an awesome clown. She did kids parties and the kids loved her.

Patti got married and they had a beautiful daughter Natalie. Then she got a divorce. She is a single mom and her daughter has been her whole life. Natalie is 18 now and she has a rare disease called Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She has been dealing with a lot of pain. Patti has done whatever it took to help her daughter with her pain and to get the medical help that Nat needed.

Patti went to get a mammogram in November and they said that there was something there, but it wasn't anything to worry about and they would see her next November.  Patti didn't feel comfortable with that answer so she  went for another diagnosis and they found cancer. She is now having a double mastectomy.  I had to have a double mastectomy five years ago and Patti was right there for me. I will be there for her as long as she needs me.

Patti never asks for help. Patti is the one always there to help anyone that needs help. We went to breakfast when she came home and there was a woman eating with her daughter and she went and paid for their breakfast. We were eating out one day and there were some servicemen eating and she paid for their food. I take snacks to three classrooms here at school and Patti sends me money to help pay for their snacks. I have needed help numerous times and she has always been there. Now I want to do something for her, because she is going to have hospital bills, doctors bills and she won't get a paycheck for two weeks.

Patti has a heart of gold and she loves finding smiley faces anywhere. When she finds them she posts them on Facebook. She is always making other people smile. Now it is her turn to smile.

Patti would give you her last dime.  There was a guy that she worked with that didn't have money to give his daughter a good Christmas and Patti gave him money so he could.

She is always there for everyone else. She always puts herself last. I think now it is time that she is first. She never expects anything in return. She has a huge heart and is the most selfless person I know.

Patti is a huge pet lover. She is always stopping in the middle of the road to help turtles cross. Her daughter Natalie used to put jars in pet stores and she would go around and collect blankets and towels for the MSPCA. She even had a lawn sale and the money went to the MSPCA.

I  love my daughter and I am hoping that we can all help her as much as she has helped so many  people.
