Meet Dawid and Patryk, two fine Polish men who have been invited on the 4-month Guyhaloka 2019 Ordination Course.
This is such a significant occasion for Triratna Buddhism in Poland: David Faron (31) and Patryk Lange (43) are Poland's first ever home-grown GFR-mitras to be invited on the Ordination Course. Ten years ago, not long after Sanghaloka (Kraków Buddhist Centre) opened for the first time, Dawid and Patryk started coming to classes. Since then they have been deepening their practice and both have grown and blossomed into confident and inspiring members of the Sangha. As Order Members they will bring so much to the Polish Sangha.
Average Polish salaries are less than half of those in the UK (source). The price of the Guyaloka course (4,400 euros) is an enormous amount of money for Polish pockets. Not only do Dawid and Patryk need to pay for the course, but they also need to be able to continue paying rent while they are away, not to mention transportation costs. So please give as generously as you can.
