Help Patrycja beat Cancer

For those of you who don’t know this is my best friend Patrycja. She’s just turned 19 on the 3rd of August. For those of you who’ve been lucky to get to know Pati you would know she is the most kindest and sweetest soul. Pati has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 non - hodgkin’s lymphoma specifically diffuse large B - cell lymphoma (DLBCL) which to sum it up briefly it’s a type of blood cancer that affects the white blood cells called lymphocytes and it is a cancer of the lymphatic system. Sadly Patrycja’s life got turned upside down on the 22nd October when she found out this news as well as mine, her boyfriends, family and friends. Throughout this bumpy ride Pati has managed to keep a brave face and never let her smile go which as a best friend i’m so incredibly proud of her, she still has a long way to go with treatment.

Patrycja’s Story:

She found a lump on her neck at the end of August but the doctors said it was a schwannoma tumor which isn’t cancerous, however her health declined and she went into hospital on the 21st of October 2024. On the 22nd she had a CT scan and it came back that she has a mass on her chest as well as her pancreas. She was moved to addenbrookes on the 2nd of November. Pat was then put in the C9 teenage cancer trust ward. On the 5th of November 2024 she had a ERCP which is a tube that goes down the throat to the affected area and in Patrycja’s case this was down to her pancreas and a stent was put in since she started to turn Jaundice as the mass was on the head of the pancreas and there was no flow from her liver to the pancreas. In this procedure a X-ray from the inside was also done and a stent was put in. Later on that day she had a PICC line put in which is a peripherally inserted central catheter that was put into her upper arm and this substituted the need of having cannulas put into every 3 days. On the 6th of November she had a biopsy on her neck, this was so that the doctors could get more tissue and cells to get a full diagnosis. The following day she also had a PET scan to see if anything else could get ruled out.

Patrycja will be going through chemotherapy and her first infusion will be this week. The type of treatment Patrycja will be having is called R-CHOP it is a combination therapy consisting of targeted drugs as well as chemotherapy and steroids.

The money raised will be put toward necessities to make her feel as confident and comfortable as possible during this process she will sadly be going through many changes in her life. Patrycja has also decided that the money donated will also be partially donated to teenage cancer trust.

Cancer is more common than we think and it doesn’t just affect the person who’s going through the treatment but everyone else around them too, mine, Patrycja’s and Jacks inbox will always be open for anyone going through these changes too. Please please please always get your lumps and bumps checked and never brush it off as it can be more serious than you think.

Pati I’m so so proud of you, i love you forever you can do this, we’re all here every single step of the way❤️

You can beat this my girl i know you can ❤️

Any donations and shares we will all be incredibly grateful for as it will be going to an amazing cause ❤️
