Help Patrisha's Family Recover from Hurricane Milton

10/17/24 update we have been without electricity for 7days!!

Hello! My name is Patrisha and I have two beautiful girls, Iyla (2 years old) and Leah (2 months old). We are currently struggling due to Hurricane Milton destroying our community. Our home is without power, no clean water, and all my refrigerated food has spoiled. My husband has been without work due to this disaster. I did my best to prepare for this storm, but my supplies are dwindling down.. I worry about feeding my youngest baby Leah, running out of diapers for my big girl Iyla and our basic necessities. The ultimate goal would be to purchase a large generator. I would open my home to my neighbors as well for some cool air and a hot meal. I’d also like to reinforce the roof of my home and have the trees behind my property trimmed since another windy storm or hurricane is inevitable.

My community has been destroyed. Our roads have been washed away, flooded, and still underwater, which makes it difficult to travel out for resources or aid. We live in a mobile home, and it's a miracle that the roof hasn't collapsed from all the tree branches that have fallen on it. However, I cannot say the same for my neighbor, who currently has a tree hanging over his home. My neighbor across has three little girls as well, and it's been so hard these past couple of days, but we have been sticking together, trying to remain calm and happy for our girls. We are worried about the future. Any contribution received is not just for my family but for our mobile home community because we are all suffering but helping one another as much as we can.
