Patrina and Dalton and their four children have always worked hard to make ends meet, but this past year has brought challenges they never expected. Eleven years ago, Dalton had heart valve replacement surgery. Over time, his heart has grown weaker, and now he’s living with only 20% heart function. He’s unable to work and can’t move from one place to the next without getting short of breath. This has been incredibly hard for Dalton, who has always been able to provide for his family, and just as tough for everyone to watch him struggle.

Patrina is working two jobs and going to school full time online. On top of everything, they have to move by May first, but Dalton is physically unable to help with packing or moving boxes. The weight of these changes has been heavy on the family, and they’re doing everything they can to stay strong and hopeful.
