Hi, my name is Tara, and I’m raising funds for my brother Patrick.
Patrick is 38 years old and is both deaf and blind, and a cancer survivor. He is an amazing human. For the past 6 years, he has lived independently in Minneapolis, Minnesota, something that speaks volumes about his determination, resilience, and spirit.
Life hasn’t always been easy for Patrick, and recently, he has fallen on some genuinely hard times. He would have every reason to crawl under a rock and feel sorry for himself — but that’s simply not who he is.
Patrick is a college graduate, earning a four-year degree from Gardner-Webb University. He works full-time, holds a side job, and continues to push himself in ways that inspire everyone around him. He has even completed two Half Ironman triathlons, proving again and again that limitations do not define him.
Despite everything, Patrick remains the happiest, most lovable person you’ll ever meet. He shows up with kindness, humor, and gratitude every single day.
Right now, Patrick could use a little help — the kind of help that reminds him he’s not alone and that his community believes in him as much as he believes in himself. His dream of running a business is still within reach. His hours at his full-time job have been cut, and he is having a very hard time making ends meet. Hypothetically, if a million people donated just one dollar, we could raise one million dollars and give Patrick the support and stability he needs to continue living independently and confidently. If only we knew 1,000,000 people. Lol. And thank goodness he doesn’t need a million dollars. He has come so far in life, and I want him to be able to continue his dreams. Right now, he needs help keeping the roof over his head.
