Help Patrick Thrive After His Amputation

Donation protected
Those of you that know my brother from Sacred Heart, Sacramento High School, Sacramento City College, and/or the local construction industry, Patrick has fought several years to save as much of his left leg as possible since the first amputation of his toes in 2011 after a business trip to Colorado. Patrick has continued working in construction, even to the extent of traveling across the country for work. He never let his medical issues stop him from being a success.

Unfortunately, the lower portion of his left leg has taken all that it can, and he is scheduled to have a below-knee amputation performed to remove enough of his leg so that his future as a father and builder of our communities can continue for many years to come.

Patrick’s transition to the life of an amputee will require dedication to rehabilitation and will require the assistance of ADA equipment. As you can imagine, much of what will help Patrick do things that we take for granted, like showering, strengthening our muscles in different ways, mobility around properties, and even mobility to get to dialysis on his own, will be expensive.

If you know my brother well, you know he values his independence, sometimes to a fault, and asking for “help” is very hard to do. Any assistance is not too small.
