My name is Kasagga Patrick, from Uganda, Africa. I am writing this with a heavy heart, as I care for over 25 dogs in our small shelter.
[ Newton's note: I fundraised for him when he had about 10 dogs (it's OVERCROWDED now), here are videos & the fundraiser:

These dogs are more than just animals to me—they are family, souls that once roamed the streets hungry, weak, and unwanted, but who now have a second chance at life. Each one of them carries a story of pain and survival, but also of hope, because they found a safe place with us.
Every day, my greatest struggle is to provide for them. We need food daily, and it is heartbreaking to see the dogs look up at me with hungry eyes when sometimes the food is not enough. Many of them also require emergency medication and veterinary care. Some come in sick, injured, or weak after surviving on the harsh streets, and without proper treatment, they risk losing their lives. I do everything I can to make sure they receive care, but the costs are overwhelming.
On top of that, the shelter rent and water bills weigh heavily on me. Each month I worry about how to clear these fees so that the dogs do not lose the only safe home they know. Our shelter building itself is in need of renovation—it leaks when it rains, and the space is not enough to comfortably house the growing number of dogs we rescue. Still, whenever I see another suffering street dog, I cannot turn away. I want to bring them in, give them safety, food, and love, but without support, it becomes almost impossible.
My dream is to continue rescuing more street dogs, to give them a chance to live without fear or hunger. But I cannot do it alone. That is why I am kindly reaching out to you, with humility and hope, to please support us. Any little donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. It means a bowl of food for a hungry dog, medicine for a sick one, clean water to drink, or a roof over their heads for another month.
Please, help us give these dogs the life they deserve. Together, we can save them from the suffering of the streets and show them kindness. Thank you for caring and for being a voice for the voiceless.
