For over a month now, Patrick Emerson has been hospitalized and in the ICU with complications with his kidneys. He has missed being able to celebrate his birthday and is still hospitalized through the holidays.

Soldiers from his Army platoon, which he served with overseas, are raising money to help his transition for when he gets released from the hospital. He will be required to eat through a feeding tube for a period of time upon his release. Nothing helps someone recover more than knowing people care.
