Help Patrick Overcome His Life-Changing Accident

On June 18th, Patrick Robinson was involved in a near-fatal accident that left him with multiple severe injuries. His life has been turned upside down, and he now faces a long and challenging road to recovery. Patrick's Injuries

The accident resulted in a series of devastating injuries:

-Open book Pelvis fracture and Sacral fracture

-Bilateral femur fractures (both legs and ankles broken)

-Aortic Tear (Heart injury)

-Bladder injury

-Kidney Injury

-Hemopneumothorax (a combination of air and blood in the chest cavity)

Current Medical Needs

Thankfully, Patrick did not suffer any brain damage, and he has already undergone surgeries on his legs and pelvis. However, his recovery is far from over and he is also awaiting surgery to repair the aortic tear. To address the aortic tear, Patrick urgently needs an Aortic stent and additionally, a IVC filter is required to prevent potentially life-threatening blood clots.

Long-Term Care

Patrick's recovery will also require extensive at-home care for at least 4-6 months once he is discharged, as he will be unable to walk during this period. The necessary at-home care includes:

-A hospital bed

-Nursing care

-Medication

-Various medical supplies

Once Patrick is able to bear weight on his hips and legs, he will need a physical therapist to help him regain his mobility and strength.
