Help Patrick Naples Rebuild After Flood
Donation protected

On Saturday June 14 between 8PM and 9PM EDT, the home of Patrick Naples was completely destroyed by a flash flood. He was alerted of the eminent flood by his smart speaker and immediately evacuated without shoes and wearing only a shirt and jeans. Within minutes the rapidly rising torrent of water compromised the foundation and the house shuddered, began to float, and then spun into the rising torrent and drifted away. His car also was swept away.
It happened so fast that he didn’t even get a chance to rescue his beloved cats.
He lost everything except the clothes on his back and his work truck. He is unable to work because all of the tools of his trade, and his entire work-shop garage are gone.
He is now finding a place to live, getting all the documentation (driver’s license, credit cards, etc.) replaced all while trying to get something to eat. Arranging to forward the mail from his lost home to a new PO Box was even a challenge because the Post Office requires two forms of identification.
Patrick is resilient, stubborn, persistent. He is putting one foot in front of the other to working on his survival checklist, but the fact of the matter is that he must completely start over. He lost everything. What he needs most now is support to get a roof back over his head and retore his tools and shop.
Patrick's sister Janet and I are setting up this GoFundMe site so he can begin the recovery to rebuild his house and his life. All donations received will be transferred to a joint checking account of Patrick and Janet. Thank you all for your generous donations.
