Come Back Meff - A Father's Rehab

Patrick Meffert is our father, son, brother, friend, and fellow goofball with a heart of gold. Unfortunately he has been struggling for too long with the demons of addiction. Slowly, he has lost everything including his marriage, his job, his home, and his two amazing sons. When you watch Patrick talk about his boys, you see him glow with the deepest love. Because of his addiction, he has lost access to his sons. His heart bleeds over this every day. Because of his addiction, he has been living on the streets of Salt Lake City for the past 9 months; 9 brutal months that have taken him to his knees.

Now, Patrick is ready to change. After a recent intervention by family and longtime college friends, Patrick agreed to an in-patient rehabilitation program. He has been in the facility since September 5, 2021 and is now going through the gut wrenching process of detox. After that, the program will help Patrick to heal his wounds and trauma that led him here, and find new ways to manage his feelings, behaviors, and cravings. As he progresses, the program will help him prepare for re-entry into life with you and me; us.

Patrick has taken a giant leap forward towards rebuilding his life. It will be a long arduous process and we need your help. In-patient rehabilitation facilities are incredibly expensive. This Go Fund Me is to pay for the rehabilitation services that will help Patrick to get back on his feet, back to those incredible sons of his, back to his family and friends who love him so deeply.
