Help Patrick & Lindsey After Tragedy

My name is Rose La Grua. Patrick Pankhurst is my godfather and his son Lindsey and I have known each other since we were babies. Today, along with close family and friends, I’m reaching out to ask for your help. On Friday, January 3rd, 2025, Patrick was involved in a serious bike accident and is currently in hospital being treated for a brain injury. Just days later, on Wednesday night, the Eaton Wildfires devastated the foothills of Altadena, destroying the home that Patrick shared with Lindsey. Patrick has not yet been informed of the loss, as the news would be too overwhelming and he needs all his focus on recovery, which will be a long journey.

Patrick and Lindsey loved the outdoors, hiking and biking through their Altadena neighborhood. They shared their home with the animals of the San Gabriel mountains, bob cats, owls, bears, foxes, and of course those noisy old peacocks. One of Lindsey's favorite parts of the property was the lower part of the yard in the canyon. So wild and beautiful and fun to hike. It's all gone.

When Patrick retired from acting, he transferred his love of the art to sharing his knowledge. He taught at USC Drama department, and more recently has been teaching at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Patrick has worked in LA theatre as a writer, dramaturge, actor and director.

Lindsey inherited the love of the arts from his father. He had a Youtube channel that he worked on daily where he humorously reviewed movies and box office. He was also a video editor, a job he loved. His recording studio and all his equipment was lost in the fire. Outside the arts he worked as an incredible bartender. He loved the social side of this and was know for his excellent customer service.

In addition to the physical and emotional challenges, Patrick and Lindsey are facing significant medical expenses. The funds raised here will help cover immediate out of pocket costs as the family navigates the complexities of their situation.
