Help Patrick Hazelip Recover
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Terrence Dougherty and I am fundraising for Patrick Hazelip.
First off, let me tell you what happened. Last week Patrick was working from home like he always does, with his dog Gunner. He had plans to go out and meet a friend for lunch but they had fallen through. So he went to work on his car. He needed to grab a different tool which he had not brought with him so he returned to his apartment. When he got to his door, smoke was billowing out of the bottom and sides of it. His first instinct was to rush in and save his dog, and that he did. Gunner is ok and doing just fine!! But, everything else was gone. Destroyed. All of his clothes, electronics, books, memorabilia from past experiences in his life are now all gone. The worst thing of all, Patrick lost all of the art he has created. One of kind pieces that can not be replaced.
Now let me tell you about Patrick. I first met Patrick on my first day at a new job. It was his first day too and only a few months ago. Patrick and I work from home, separated by hundreds of miles. But it already felt like we have known each other for years. That is mostly because of the effort that Patrick puts in. He gives his all in everything he does, be it his art, caring for his dog Gunner, his work, and his friendships. He is always there to pick you up if you are having a tough day on the phones or something is not quite going the way you had hoped. On the flip side, when you are doing well and succeeding he is right there to congratulate you and lift you up even higher. He pushes you to be better and try harder. Patrick is a force of positivity and determination, and it is infectious.
Patrick and I work in sales. People are always striving to one up the next. Be atop the leader board every month or quarter. It was Patricks first month making calls and he was doing really well. He was working with another guy, who had been training him the previous weeks. As the month was coming to a close, Patrick had set up a meeting for one of the last days of the month. The person whom was training Patrick was short 1 meeting to make his quota. Patrick gave the meeting he had booked to them so they could hit quota for that month. That is the type of person Patrick is. That is the type of person I want to help.
Whatever you are able and willing to donate to help get Patrick back on his feet is greatly appreciated.
Thank You!
