Help Patrick get checked out

Hi! It’s me Patrick doing something I’ve been dreading to do for the last couple months. Basically, I’ve got some serious stomach issues(I’d be happy to get NSFW if you’ve got questions).

It’s been an issue with fluctuation in its severity over the last year and a half but lately it’s been consistent. I’ve had one issue or another every day for two months. They are gross issues, trust me. I’ve seen two Gastroenterologists and they’ve both checked me out and recommended the same thing: I need a colonoscopy.

To address a few thoughts: Yes, I have insurance but I’m too young for it to be covered. Yes, I have some savings but not nearly enough to cover the out of pocket costs of this procedure. I’ve typically been quoted between $1200-2000, which I do not have laying around. Now this will cover the checkup, anesthesia, and any biopsies needed, that’s a good thing. And yes, I know I need to improve my lifestyle of diet and exercise- I’ve been trying since the beginning of this year and will continue to do so after this procedure.

All that being said, I know times are tough for all of us and I don’t expect anything from anybody. But if you do have an interest in keeping me up and being loud, I need to get this thing done. Most likely it’s not deadly serious or fatal- at least that’s the thing I tell myself everyday in the shower and in bed, heh. I just want to nip it in the bud and move forward in a good way.
