Help Replace My Work Truck & Get Back To Work

Hi everyone, my name is Patrick. I run a small handyman and home renovation business, and my truck was essential to earning my living getting me to jobs and allowing me to carry tools, lumber, supplies, and equipment.
On July 30, 2025, a severe storm brought down a massive tree and crushed my truck beyond repair. Insurance covered only a fraction of what it would cost to replace it.
I originally started this fundraiser immediately afterward, hoping I could replace the truck quickly and get back to work. Nine people generously donated $1,145, and I am incredibly grateful to every one of them.
Unfortunately, I never managed to close the gap.
More than a year later, I am still without a reliable vehicle, and the consequences have become much bigger than the truck itself. Without transportation capable of carrying my tools and materials, I have not been able to return to steady handyman and renovation work. The resulting loss of income has snowballed, and I am now facing foreclosure and the possible loss of my home.
I’m sharing that because it shows how urgent getting back to steady work has become. This fundraiser remains focused on transportation, the one thing I need in order to earn an income again.
Right now, my immediate goal is to raise $13,000 toward getting a safe, dependable used truck or other suitable vehicle, along with the costs of getting it on the road. I am not looking for anything new, fancy, or luxurious. I need a safe, dependable used truck or other suitable vehicle that can carry my tools and materials and get me reliably to job sites.
Funds raised will be used toward:
• Purchasing a dependable used work vehicle
• Sales tax, title, registration, and insurance
• Inspection and immediate safety repairs or maintenance, if needed
• Basic work vehicle setup and replacing a couple essential job equipment items that were damaged
A vehicle will not magically fix everything that has happened over the past year. But it removes the biggest practical obstacle between me and getting back to work and rebuilding an income.
I know how to work. I want to work. I need a way to get myself, my tools, and my materials to the work.
If you’re able to donate, I would be enormously grateful. Even a small donation moves me closer. And if donating isn’t possible, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Getting it in front of someone who may be able to help is valuable too.
To everyone who has already donated or shared this over the past year: thank you. Your support has meant more to me than you probably realize.
Thanks
