Hi everyone! We are extending our reach and turning to our community and connections to help support our dear friend, Patrick Hughes, who is facing a double edged sword as he battles stage 3 cancer while in an active recovery program.
Patrick was recently diagnosed with **Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma**. And while that news hit all of us hard, we can tell you this… Pat is facing it the same way he’s faced every challenge in his recovery: with faith, with courage, and with his community by his side.
Patrick is deeply active in AA and the recovery community, showing up week after week not just for himself, but for the people coming in behind him. He has recently began sponsoring other young men who are starting their sobriety journeys, and is incredibly passionate about making sure that others who are facing this battle know that they have a hand to reach for and a light to follow. He’s also part of a nonprofit organization called “Haus of TTP (Trust The Process)” that serves the homeless, supports families in need, and walks alongside people in early recovery because he knows what it means to need someone in your corner.
And in the middle of all of this, Patrick found God. He joined a faith-based recovery group, began reading the Bible and studying scripture, and got baptized. His faith isn’t just something he talks about — it’s something you can really, genuinely see in how he lives and moves forward.
Pat has rebuilt his life with intention, love, and purpose. Now he needs our help protecting it.

Patrick’s treatment plan is intensive but hopeful. Here’s what the next several months look like:
Chemotherapy (N-AVD): 6 months of chemo, 2 rounds per month — roughly $120,000 total cost.
Immunotherapy (Opdivo): 12 infusions over 6 months — roughly $91,000 total cost.
Medical testing (X-rays, CT scans, PET scans, biopsy, port installation) — roughly $9,750 total.
PET scans every 2 months** during chemo (3 total) — roughly $4,500 total.
Ongoing bloodwork and monitoring every other week as well
Estimated total treatment cost: $225,250

His insurance will cover approximately 75%, which is a tremendous blessing. But that still leaves $56,313 out of pocket. This is a number that would be crushing for anyone, let alone someone rebuilding their life.
What Your Donation Does:
Every dollar goes directly toward Patrick’s medical costs for chemo, immunotherapy, scans, and the appointments in between.
Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, please know that it matters deeply. And if you can’t give financially, sharing this page is just as powerful. Help us get Patrick’s story in front of people who care.

A Note From His Community:
Patrick has given so much of himself to others during his recovery. He never asked for anything in return and that’s just who he is. But today, we’re asking on his behalf.
Let’s surround him with the same love and support he’s given to so many. Let’s remind him that he is not alone in this fight.
*This campaign was created by Patrick’s recovery community and loved ones. All funds go directly to Patrick’s medical expenses.*
