Patrick Corrick is a devoted husband, an adventurous spirit, and a fiercely loving father of two. I’ve had the privilege of knowing him through my dear friend Holly Rollins, his wife, whom I met in 1999 when we were roommates at Club Med in Huatulco, Mexico. Over the past 14 years of their marriage, I’ve watched their journey unfold—from whirlwind romance to mountaintop wedding, to raising two incredible daughters. Today, I’m reaching out because Patrick and his family are facing the fight of their lives.

In late 2024, Patrick began experiencing strange and unsettling health issues—intermittent, excruciating hip pain, confusion, memory lapses, and months of sleeplessness that transformed the vibrant man we all knew. Holly knew something wasn’t right and fought for answers. After multiple visits and a clean PET scan, she pushed for more testing, insisting on an MRI during a routine Mayo Clinic visit. That test revealed the heartbreaking truth: a cancerous tumor hidden in his hip bone—and many more throughout his body, including his spine. The diagnosis was stage 4 Myxoid Liposarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that had gone undetected for years.

The physical toll has been unimaginable. The emotional toll, even more so. For months, Patrick’s symptoms presented as signs of dementia, exacerbated without restorative sleep. This beloved husband and father, who once tore down mountains on skis found himself in a fight to reclaim his mind, his movement, and his future.

Despite the prognosis, Patrick and Holly are determined to pursue every possible option—not just to extend life, but to restore quality of life. That’s why Patrick has chosen an integrated treatment plan, combining traditional chemotherapy with innovative and integrative therapies available in Arizona. These integrative treatments offer hope—but they are not covered by insurance, and the costs are staggering. With Patrick unable to work, and the family facing ongoing travel, housing, and medical expenses, the financial burden is immense.
