Assist Patrick and Marline During This crisis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Diana. I am starting a GoFundMe account for a very dear friend and former co-worker, Patrick Shoe, and his wife, Marline. Patrick started his nursing career in 2002. I met him while working at Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington when I worked as a receptionist. He wore a lot of hats during the time I was there, from nursing supervisor day or night, nursing in general, putting in extremely long hours and days that never seemed to end.
Since August 2024, while at the Lowe’s parking lot at Smokey Point, his left side went numb. He was transported to the hospital with a stroke. Then after that, a DVT (blood clot). When he was finally given the go-ahead to go back to work on January 29th, he suffered another stroke on January 27th. The lifestyle of nursing has taken a toll on him, and now he is not able to work anymore. He has lost his job. On February 19th, his brother passed away. Marline has been a teacher for the Stanwood Camano School District for 28 years and is now taking the rest of the school year to care for him. They are on very limited funds for living. Applying for disability is going to take months, as we all know. If you are able to help this wonderful, loving couple even a bit, it would be so appreciated. If not, please hold them both up in your prayers.
