Help Patricia's family to have a home
My name is Patricia Verlino. This is the most difficult message I have ever written, but I have nowhere else to turn.
Hope this message a least help a lots of people to don't have to go through what I'm going right now.
I came to this great country with nothing, only my 5 month old baby boy, Juan.
I worked as hard as I could to build a life and suffered trough a lot of things, I do not have to strength to discuss. I married and have two more kids, Now my baby boy is 20 and on his own. but I have my two girls aged 12 and 15 with me.
I have made many mistakes in life. My marriage ended badly in 2016, and I walk away from the divorce with nothing but my children's love.
I have worked so hard to build a life for them. Things finally stared to improve, and I made a goal to buy my own house for us. I working two full time jobs, I drove Uber, and I do handyman work on the side for several years to build my credit and income to afford a house.
I was never able to take vacation with my kids or buy the things for them I wanted. But a have DREAM where I could give them stability, so we did not have to keep moving from apartment to apartment.
I was able to be approved for a loan for an apartment Condo. It is not much but it's a home, and I thought it would be mine. Everything was going well. I scraped and worked to get the $63,000 I needed for down payment, closing in addition to my loan. I was cleared to close. I received an email from what I thought was the Title company since it had the same name, address as someone I had worked with. They asked me to give the wire instructions to my bank for the cash to close. I did it.
My bank called the Title company to verify, and the title company told me that gave them another account I gave them. However, my bank sent the wire to the fraud account.
The woman on the email has the exactly name, last name, license number for someone was no longer working for the title company.
The title company never called me for the proper wire instructions. I thought I did everything right. Now, even though days after my bank reported the fraud and asked for a block, it seems I am not going to recover my money.
Both, my bank and title company seem to have made mistakes, but they are not willing to help me and just want to protect themselves.
I moved into the apartment I thought I bought because the title company/broker told to the seller the funds were on the way, and the owner gave me keys. Now that this fraud happened to me, the seller wants to cancel the contract and kick me out in two days. I am doing everything is possible on my side to get the money recovered, but I have to also invested more than $3,000 in moving expenses and floors improvements to this aparment that I cannot recover.
I am so lost and do not know where to turn. I am hoping there are people who are out there can help. I need to fund this closing with $63,000 I lost so I can make a home for my daughters.
If I recover my money, I will return anything you can give or give to a charity if you desire.
I am desperate and ashamed to have to ask for help, I will be forever grateful.
I am a small person and none of my bank or title company care to help me.
Thanks everyone.
