Hello, my name is Patricia Montes Leon and I am a first-generation Senior at the University of New Mexico. I was recently accepted into a student teaching opportunity in Vienna, Austria for this upcoming summer. This opportunity is designed to enhance my role as a classroom teacher by building on theoretical and content-based learning with practical application in the classroom. I will work with different mentors and cooperating teachers to develop lesson plans, classroom activities and other projects with students at the elementary level. I am so excited to say that my departure will be May 12th and I will be back home June 24th. Any help or donations given will be used for flights, food, and transportation expenses. Hola, mi nombre es Patricia Montes Leon y soy estudiante de último año de primera generación en la Universidad de Nuevo México. Recientemente me aceptaron en una oportunidad de meastra estudiante en Viena, Austria, para este próximo verano. Esta oportunidad me dará mas experiencia como maestra.
