My name is Patricia, and I am a full-time college student working hard to build a better future for myself and my four-year-old son. After four years of struggling, we finally have a place to call our own—our very first home. Unfortunately, because I only get paid every four months, it’s been incredibly difficult to keep up with regular expenses like rent.

Right now, we are facing the real possibility of eviction. I am doing everything I can to make ends meet, but the timing of my paychecks just isn’t enough to cover our monthly rent. I am deeply worried about losing our home, especially after working so hard to provide a safe and stable place for my son.
