Help Patricia secure housing!

When East Oakland Burrito Roll founder Kira met Patricia, the latter was living in her car with her teenage daughter and their dog down the street from Kira's home in East Oakland. The two struck up a friendship as Kira began bringing (pet and people) food to her neighbor.
Earlier in the pandemic, Patricia's family was being temporarily housed through the Hotels Not Graves program run by The Village and the East Oakland Collective, but that funding has run out. (EOBR has continued to pay for their hotel room for the time being.) Here is some testimony from Patricia about what a huge difference having a roof over their heads made:

In addition to a place to stay clean, warm, and safe(r) from the raging pandemic, living in a hotel room has allowed Patricia to purchase perishable food items she could not store in the car. She's also less exposed to harassment and danger from cops or unfriendly neighbors.
Patricia, who has a warm and friendly manner and a beautiful smile that she shares often in spite of the hardships she has faced, has lived in Oakland since she was 8 years old. She and her daughter, an Oakland original, have been living in their car for the last several years. Though they have tried to access housing through several assistance programs over the years, the barriers (such as shelters that won't accept an adult and child together, or have rules against pets) have simply proven insurmountable. Patricia also has multiple medical conditions that often require hospitalization several times a year.
Patricia, her daughter, and Midnight the pitbull deserve safe housing! We are raising funds to provide them with enough money for first and last month's rent, any additional deposit required, new or gently used furniture, and other relocation-related expenses. In the meantime, we want to be able to continue to pay for their hotel room, which costs $561.05 weekly.
