Donation protected
Hi everyone, I am raising funds to assist my Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority linesister, Patricia R. Floyd (MSU/DZ Chapter, 18 S.T.R.O.N.G. 1981) recover from a devastating fire in her apartment building in Newark, NJ. on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She lost her home, the majority of her possessions and her beloved rescue cat, Mouse. Her possessions were underinsured.
Patricia is an alumnae of Michigan State University, graduating in 1984 from its theater department. She had been living and working in the New York area as a writer, actor and director for many years. She has been left with the clothing on her back and the contents of her purse.
Her home has been destroyed, all of her possessions are gone, our friend and sister will have to rebuild her life from scratch. She needs to purchase clothing, toiletries, shoes and to begin to look for housing.
