Anthony Mattei passed away on April 3rd, 2025, at the age of 65. He left behind his beloved wife, Patricia Mattei, his daughter, multiple siblings, stepchildren, nieces and nephews, and adored grandchildren.
Anthony's passing was abrupt. He had just moved into his new home with my mother, his wife, and their newly adopted dog, Cooper. My mom and Ant had plans to live a life of growing old together, with dreams of simple adventures and time with their grandkids. If you know Ant, you know that he is one of the kindest souls who would put those he cares for before himself. He had a cheeky sense of humor and had been an old friend of Bill W's for over two decades. He was devoted to living a sober life and being there for his family.
We want to honor his beautiful spirit and life with a memorial that honors his and all of his family's wishes. My mother has been by his side for the past 8 years, and recently, his health began to decline, with many trips back and forth from the hospital. Finances are tight, for most of us, but we are asking his extended loved ones and our community to donate what they can at this time to help support the financial needs for his service and my mother as she navigates this grief and creates a memorial that honors the full but shortened life Ant lived.
Anything would be appreciated at this time; donations will go directly to pay for the funeral services and the gravestone.
We thank you for your support and prayers at this time.
