Help Patience Get Home After Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Patience. I have CTEPH, a rare lung disease that causes blood clots to form on the blood vessels of the lungs. I had a severe case and have been on oxygen for about 3 years while going undiagnosed for about 6 years. There are only a number of hospitals in the world that can do the surgery to remove the clots. It's a very invasive and complicated surgery that is not an easy recovery process. Thankfully, I finally got my life-saving open-heart surgery in San Diego.
Unfortunately, I had some complications from surgery and have been here for longer than I was planning, and I don't have enough funds to get a plane ride home as well as housing and food for the extra time spent here. Anything anyone can throw to help support and get me home would be so deeply appreciated. It's been a long month here, and I'm still not out of the hospital. I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!
