Updates on some amazing news from Pati below! It’s happening, and it started with you!
I’M SO BLESSED AND EXCITED TO BE GOING TO THE WAWE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
I received some incredible news last week - I have been officially named First Alternate for the 2026 USA Working Equitation World Championship Team — and I’m going to Jerez, Spain for the competition in September!
As First Alternate, I will travel to Europe to train in the weeks leading up to the competition and prepare as a full competitor. Should there be any issues with a selected rider or horse in the months or days leading up to the competition, I must be ready to step in immediately and compete for the USA. I take this responsibility very seriously, and I’m dedicated to the physical and mental preparation every single day leading up to the championships. I’m so incredibly happy and grateful to have been chosen to contribute to my country’s representation in this way!
I want to continue to bring you along on this journey with me. When we launched this fundraiser, we let you know that I had qualified for the 2026 WAWE World Championships in Spain and was preparing for a series of trips to train, compete, and pursue a spot on the US team. You believed in me, and because of you we were able to accomplish several important milestones along our way. I traveled to Jerez, Spain in early April and trained with Juan Jose Verdugo Camacho, who has represented Spain on the Spanish Working Equitation team and is a Rider/Instructor at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art Foundation. That trip happened because of you. Thank you.
I also competed at a WAWE Qualifier in Segovia, Spain in early May, which was such an incredible and educational experience and a critical bridge between the April training and the September World Championships. I felt so immensely proud representing the USA in that competition!
What’s next in our journey:
On top of the funds you've already contributed, this next round of funding covers everything required to have me competition-ready on the international stage. As First Alternate, I must arrive prepared to compete from day one.
