Hi, I’m Maureen, I’m a helper and I’m a little pissed off right now. I recently found out that my friend and fellow UCA alumna, Pateal, is being scammed out of rent money, money for her required medications, and even had her late mother's mixer stolen by this 'roommate.’ The roommate has been told to leave and has reportedly done so but today she has tried to use 2 of Pateal’s credit cards. (This “roommate” has a long history of deceitful and illegal behavior, verified on courtconnect. Uses multiple aliases and has stolen from at least 3 previous employers. The aliases are how she slipped past Pateal’s background check when she moved in.) Pateal is on disability and is limited, mobility-wise. She doesn’t have breathing room for this kind of catastrophe and is in fear of being evicted. If 200 folks give just $10, we can fix this for her.
