Help Patch Get a Leg Up

Hello Friends, 

Do you think it’s hard being a millennial? Try being a handsome pup who can’t even stand on his own 4 feet! 

My name is Patch and I’m a gorgeous 2 and a half year old “good boy” who the humans refer to as a “rescue cutie-patootie pity-poo” (official title).

I might look spoiled now but I didn’t always have it easy. I grew up ruff, around some not so nice people (to put it nicely). I thought I was doing well and being my cutest and bestest self but I guess I must have done something wrong because I ended up in doggy jail, TWICE! 

I was sad and confused and lonely but then two goofy looking humans came to visit me. They both kept calling me “adorable” and “sweet” so I took the opportunity and hit them with my “lil puppy dog eye trick” and THEY FELL FOR IT (muwahaha). Those suckers sprung me from the big house and took me to a place called home. They gave me a comfy bed and some great tasting blankets...the treats weren’t bad either. They even told me they loved me.

I wanted to prove to my humans that I was industrious. I showed off all of my expert doggy skills: ripping up gutters and redecorating the furniture. I dug the biggest holes and pulled out the tastiest veggies from the garden. I even dabbled in squirrel control.

Honestly, I don’t think my humans appreciate all I do for them because the pay kinda sucks...and the health insurance? What health insurance?

Anyway... a week ago I was napping (after a hard day of yelling at squirrels and farting) but something didn’t feel right. I woke my humans up to complain about the ouchie in my knee. Now I have what I can only describe as a job related knee injury. 

I went to one of my favorite places to see what was wrong. My nice doctor explained to me that I need knee surgery because I’ve completely torn my meniscus and cruciate ligaments. She informed me that my surgery will cost $4k-$5k (that doesn’t include x-rays, meds and medical equipment/supplies). Oh and they DON’T take butt wiggles and kisses as payment.

So here I am, just a young, poor pup who badly needs his knee fixed. I have many more years of flirting (with all sorts of pretty ladies) ahead of me and this knee injury is totally cramping my style. 

Please consider helping this good boy out. I’ll be grateful for always and ever.
