Help Pat who lost everything in Hurricane Ida
My Mother-in-Law, Pat, who has been living with her parents (who are in their nineties) so that she can tirelessly and selflessly care for them for years lost everything in Hurricane Ida as her Queens home was flooded over waist level with toxic sewage water. Every piece of furniture, every single appliance, every item of clothing and shoes, sentimental things, rugs - literally everything she owned - lost in one night with a storm that no one was expecting in NYC. During the height of it, she risked her life to save all her rescue pets (1 cat, a kitten and a dog), literally swimming to save them and getting out just in time for her refrigerator to come crashing down behind her because the flood waters (toxic sewage water) got so high it carried the refrigerator away. Pat never asks for anything. She is always the one helping everyone else so we have not shared we are starting this go fund me with her because she'd never want to put anyone else out. But, now it's our time to help her rebuild her life. We will be giving her this money to purchase all the items she lost starting with necessities like clothes and shoes and then eventually furniture and all new household items. Thank you for helping in any way you can. We appreciate your generosity more than you know.
