Pat and I have been friends for more than fifty years, and I’ve seen firsthand her strength and resilience through life’s challenges. Recently, Pat has faced some of the most difficult times imaginable. After undergoing both a hip and a shoulder replacement, she was just beginning to recover when tragedy struck. A devastating house fire took everything from her—her home, her belongings, and even her hearing aids. To make matters worse, Pat is now left with very little as she tries to rebuild her life from scratch.
