Help Pat Mosher “Chef Patrick” Fight Guillain-Barré Syndrome

Hi, this is Greg Patterson and Scot Leith, and we are helping to set up this GoFundMe for our old-school Chandler friend, Patrick Mosher, who unfortunately is facing one of the most brutal battles of his life. Pat was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the nervous system. As a result, he is experiencing debilitating weakness, pain, and neuropathy, and right now, he cannot stand or walk on his own. Those who know Pat know he’s been an on-the-go, hard-charging guy his whole life! So this setback is challenging, to say the least, for Chef Patrick.

 

A few weeks ago, Patrick was living his life to the fullest. Whether being a self-proclaimed “workaholic chef,” spending time with loved ones, traveling, or giving back to the community, he was always on the go. But that suddenly changed when Pat started experiencing strange symptoms—what began as mild muscle weakness and tingling in his fingers and toes quickly escalated into his hands and feet being wholly numb and eventually losing control of his legs and collapsing to the ground. A few days later he found himself in the hospital with the shocking diagnosis of Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

GBS can affect anyone, and while many recover, the road is often long and grueling. For Patrick, the disease has severely impacted his ability to move independently, and live his life as he once did. He’s now facing extensive treatments, including physical and occupational therapy, plasma exchange, and several months of rehabilitation. These treatments are crucial to his recovery, but they come with overwhelming costs.

 

With Patrick unable to work, without health insurance, and medical bills piling up, his financial burden is immense. From hospital stays to treatments and physical therapy, the costs are far beyond what any one person can bear alone. That’s why we are turning to you, our community, for help.
