Help Pat & Lisa with professional testing Meth Contamination

Donation protected

Pat and I just purchased a home in June of this year. We were excited to move out of home of 25 years in Mill Creek, Washington. I ran a licensed home daycare for 24 years. I retired to move up to the beautiful area of Concrete, Washington. Skagit County seemed like the perfect, safe community where we could get away from the city and its drugs.
Unfortunately, we could not have been more wrong!
we took a huge leap of faith going from a dual to a single income. We felt our monthly budget would be fine, as we no longer have a mortgage payment.
We have just gotten somewhat settled and starting to make our new property home. I have spoken to several neighbors who informed us of this home’s extensive drug history.
I recently started having horrible headaches, burning watery eyes and skin lesions on my head.
We stopped staying in the home after doing a home test for meth. My headaches have dissipated. We did another home test yesterday and the results were even worse than the previous one.
We have been working with the team at Bio Clean. State Farm is most likely going to deny our claim. We cannot afford
to pay upfront for this professional testing. Most likely our entire house, as well as the soil on the property may be contaminated.
If a complete tear down is required, we are looking at upward of $40,000.00 and then the cost to rebuild.
We have been told to get out of the house and not take any of our clothing or personal items. This is a huge challenge as we can not just go out and purchase all new belongings.
We are currently in our small travel trailer in the front yard.
We need professional testing done ASAP. After waiting for two weeks I just found out that nothing can be done until we do this testing. We need to know how high the levels are. The investor and the real estate agent/office (related to sellers) They clearly knew what they were trying to conceal. I just received two fire district reports with pictures and evidence of the explosions due to a large burn pile in the front yard. This pile is still there and has beakers and other materials used in meth production and use.
We paid all for this property fully in cash, every dime we had. We worked diligently for 25 years to build enough equity in our previous home.
We do not know where to go from here. I’ve called everyone I can think of, from County Level to State Level to no avail.
I have never heard of this problem.
I find it unfathomable that there is no government funding to help private consumers with this epidemic.

Thank you for reading our story.
We would graciously welcome any monitory donation you can give during this devastating time.

Sincerely,
Pat & Lisa Akina
