Help Pat Randle fund an adjustable rotating bed.

Hi, my name is Bob and I am fundraising for Pat.

Pat is 52 years old and until 2003 he was a highly accomplished amateur golfer. Pat was Club Champion at his home club Enville Golf Club Staffordshire, on no less than 8 occasions between 1985 -1997. He was Scratch Matchplay Winner 6 times between 1987-2002. He won the Midlands Order of Merit in 1991, the Leicester Fox 1991, and the Kings Norton Oak 1991.

Pat played for the Staffs Men’s 1st Team and was Captain 2002, and captained the Midland League Winning team of 2003). He played in 140 County matches and was Staffordshire Youth Champion 1988 and 1990. He represented Staffordshire in the England County Finals 1992,1993.

In recognition for his outstanding contribution to Staffordshire County Golf he was awarded the Len Turner Trophy in 2004.

Pat qualified for the final qualifying of the Open Championships 1992.

He also won 14 other major trophies at Enville from 1983 to 2002 and has been awarded life membership of Enville GC.

Pat was a hard working Sales Manager and his golf was his world away from work. Unfortunately Pats golfing career was cruelly cut short when in 2000 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which curtailed a very promising future career in golf.

Pat currently lives in a small adapted bungalow and is mobile using his electric wheelchair. He is a very independent person but does rely on others for some aspects of his care and his ongoing needs will require further interventions.

He is unable to walk. He cannot get out of bed without the assistance of his carers who visit him daily to ensure his needs are met. Despite his disability Pat continues to live life to the full and always puts a very brave face on what is a very debilitating condition.  

As Pats condition deteriorates he needs specialist equipment to give him the best quality of life. To reduce his dependency on carers he requires a specialised bed to enable him to get to and from his chair to his bed as independently as possible. The bed has functions specifically for his needs. It is a Rotoflex adjustable and rotating bed and costs £10,000. He needs this bed now.

Pat’s friends and family are doing everything possible to make his life as comfortable as possible. They need your help.
