April Acosta funeral cost & taking care of her son

Hi! My name is Suzanne Caraker. I am raising funds for a dear friend/second mother of mine, Pat Elder. She recently went through a tragedy no one ever wishes to happen.
What happened.
On Sunday February 24th, Pats daughter, April Acosta, passed away suddenly. April was only 30 and a single mother of two small boys, one of which Pat has been given full custody of. After boarding the next plane out, Pat was confronted with a scene no parent ever wants to face, the death of their child. She held it together for her grandsons and has been trying to help them cope with the loss of their mother, also while dealing with it herself.
Now having to raise her grandson, she is desperately trying to keep life as normal as possible for him. After all he has been through, to rip him from all he knows would surely put a stress on him she does not want to do. So Pat is staying in Arizona and keeping her grandson in his school and home he shared with his mom until at least the end of the school year, as April would have wanted. While also having to pay the bills for her home in Illinois.
Pat is retired and on a fixed income, and already is stretched thin. Having to pay for her only child's funeral and maintain two homes has put a financial burden upon her she can not afford.
We are asking for help.
I am asking for a helping hand.
Any money raised will first go to help cover the cost of any funeral expenses occurred, then will help go towards trying to keep a roof over Pat and her grandsons heads in Arizona for the school year.
Sometimes it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes it is hard to ask for help. To myself, Pat is family. Her daughter was my friend. Pat has always helped me whenever I needed it, and has never asked for anything in return. To those that know her, I am sure she has touched your life the same. Now it is our turn to help her.
