Help Pat Barnes Overcome ALS and Lyme Disease

Please help Pat Barnes in his fight against ALS and Lyme Disease.

Hello, my name is Steve Grover. My longtime and dear friend, Pat Barnes, is in a fight for his life. In May of this year, Pat was diagnosed with ALS. Then recently, after extensive testing, he was confirmed positive for Lyme Disease, consisting of multiple parasitic co-infections throughout his body. The effects of these horrific diseases have rid Pat of the ability to communicate verbally, made his breathing and swallowing difficult, and have begun to attack his mobility.

Pat has recently started treatment to rid his body of these infectious diseases and to begin a very long road leading to the best recovery possible. He is undergoing IV Antibiotic Therapy twice daily, 6 days a week. Pat is also doing Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy for 90 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Both are for a minimum of 12 weeks. Neither his treatments nor his medications are covered by insurance. So, as you can imagine, the financial burden is overwhelming.

Pat has spent most of his life unselfishly giving of his time and labor helping others, whether it be family, friends, neighbors, or strangers, expecting no more than a simple thank you in return. Pat is also the main caregiver for Linda, his wife and soulmate for 50 years. Linda has herself been battling dementia for the past 2 years.
